Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 June 2026
Your trust matters to us. This policy explains, in plain language, what personal data Investors AI collects, why, who we share it with, and the rights you have — including under the GDPR.
1.Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Investors AI (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use our website and AI-powered investing assistant (the “Service”). We have written it to be clear rather than legalistic.
For the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), Investors AI is the data controller of the personal data described here. If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK or Switzerland, the GDPR section below explains the additional rights you have.
2.Data we collect
We collect only what we need to run the Service:
- Account data — your name and email address, and authentication identifiers, handled through our authentication provider.
- Onboarding & profile data— the preferences you choose, such as experience level, trading style, preferred markets, risk tolerance, goals, time zone and interests. These power your personalised “Investor DNA”.
- Content you submit — charts you upload for analysis, watchlist items, trading-journal entries, portfolio holdings you add, and the messages you send to the AI Coach.
- Usage data — basic logs such as feature usage counts and request timestamps, used for rate limits, security and improving the product.
- Device & technical data — limited technical information (such as browser type and IP address) needed to deliver and secure the Service.
We do not intentionally collect special-category data, and we ask that you do not submit it. We do not connect to your brokerage account or move your money.
3.How we use your data
- to provide, operate and secure the Service and your account;
- to personalise your experience — for example, tailoring the AI Coach, Chart Analyzer and Trade of the Day to your profile and history;
- to process your AI requests and return analysis to you;
- to communicate with you about the Service, including important changes;
- to maintain rate limits, prevent abuse, and keep the Service safe; and
- to comply with our legal obligations.
4.Legal bases for processing (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you have signed up for, including AI analysis and personalisation.
- Legitimate interests — to secure, maintain and improve the Service and prevent abuse, balanced against your rights.
- Consent — where we ask for it, such as for non-essential cookies or optional communications. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — where we must process data to comply with the law.
5.AI processing of your content
To generate analysis, we send the relevant content (for example, a chart image or your question) to third-party AI model providers acting as our processors. We instruct our providers to process this data only to return a result to you and not to use it to train their public models. AI output is generated for you and stored with your account so you can revisit it. See our Investment Disclaimer for the limits of AI output.
7.International data transfers
Some of our providers are located outside the EEA or the UK, including in the United States. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK addendum where relevant), or an equivalent lawful transfer mechanism, to protect your data.
8.Data retention
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the Service. If you close your account or ask us to delete your data, we will delete or anonymise it within a reasonable period, except where we must keep certain records to comply with legal, accounting or security obligations. You can delete content such as journal entries and watchlist items from within the Service at any time.
9.Your rights
Depending on where you live, and in particular under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request erasure of your data (“right to be forgotten”);
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
- lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@investors-ai.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
11.How we protect your data
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to address any incident promptly.
12.Children’s privacy
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
13.Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in-product or by email.
